Arnold Engineering Development Center (AEDC) is the most advanced and largest complex of flight simulation test facilities in the world. The center operates 58 aerodynamic and propulsion wind tunnels, rocket and turbine engine test cells, space environmental chambers, arc heaters, ballistic ranges and other specialized units. Twenty-seven of the center's test units have capabilities unmatched elsewhere in the United States; 14 are unique in the world. AEDC is an Air Force Materiel Command organization and an important national resource.

Tours available for students.  They will learn about the work  AEDC does and its importance to America's air and space superiority.  Students also have the opportunity to interact with members of the Air Force and other complex employees and ask specific questions about flight, educational requirements, and military life.  The tours also provide an opportunity to participate in hands-on demonstrations and tour different testing facilities on base.  Adult tours also available.
