That is where you will find Vickie Matthews.Six days a week for the last 38 years Vickie has been making everyone feel at home when they visit Skips.What would “the regulars” do if Vickie wasn’t there to greet them with a hot cup of coffee or a big old Skip burger?In every small town there is always a favorite place that people go, to not only get a good meal, but to socialize with their friends and there is always one special person that makes that place feel like home. In Winchester that person is Vickie Matthews.

Since 1983 Vickie has fed the working men and women of Winchester. She has watched as long time customers, who had become friends, disappeared from their favorite table as the Good Lord called them home. She has watched their children grow into adults. She has listened to their problems and laughed at their jokes all the while making sure their burger, eggs, coffee, etc. was served up just the way they like. She has become like family to so many Franklin Countians. Thank you, Vickie for taking such good care of us through the years. Because of you, there will always be a place to visit, that just feels like home.
