Margaret Lynch

One of the things Margaret Lynch loves most about working and volunteering in Winchester is the strong sense of camaraderie the small-town environment creates.  As someone who has been deeply involved in the community for many years, Margaret can hardly go anywhere without bumping into friends and acquaintances.  This tight-knit community keeps her on her toes.  People around here know they have to work hard to maintain their good name.  Fortunately, working hard has never been an issue for Margaret.  Margaret was born in Mayfield, Kentucky in 1941.  She graduated from Mayfield High School and went on to attend David Lipscomb University.  

Growing up, Margaret’s parents both worked at the Merit Clothing Company.  They relied on Margaret to pitch in around the houses and tend to her schoolwork so they could provide for the family.  These experiences instilled a strong work ethic and a sense of discipline in her from a young age.  Both of these traits are evident to this day.  “I have to accomplish something everyday,” Margaret says.  

Through the years, Margaret has put her energy, enthusiasm and strong work ethic to good use with countless community organizations in a variety of roles, including:

“It is a great feeling to be so ingrained in the community and especially having the opportunity to help others,” Margaret states.

Despite her many volunteer efforts, Margaret’s greatest impact on the community has come through her long running real estate career.  Since 1982, Margaret has been a premier professional and has owned her own real estate company since 1995.  In that time, she’s built a true legacy of real estate excellence by devoting her all to each and every client.  Her clients have acted in kind, returning to her time and time again due to the unparalleled service she provides.  “I love what I do,” Margaret says.  “I’ve loved it from day one.  I love working with people and the challenge of finding what they want.  I have been doing it for so long, it’s truly my life’s passion.”

Four generations, the Lynch name has been ingrained in the Franklin County community with a strong history of attorneys and judges in the family.  Margaret is married to Ben Lynch who has been a lawyer in town for nearly 50 years.  Margaret has now extended that family legacy to include real estate and servant leadership.  Margaret has three children, Kim, Katie, and Patrick, and five grandchildren, Corley, Lynch, Leah, Maggie, and Jackson.
