The Winchester Police and Fire Departments are committed to providing the citizens of Winchester the best possible services available in the area of law enforcement and fire protection and prevention. The Police Department is led by Chief Dennis Young, who has over 22 years of law enforcement experience. The Fire Department is led by Chief Don Cofer who was recently appointed Fire Chief and brings a number of years experience to the department. Both departments offer a variety of programs to assist in public safety awareness and education. Business offices for both departments are open Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm and are located in the Winchester City Hall Annex building.
